OUR VISION

"We measure molecular structural dynamics. With this we want to advance the understanding of chemical reactivity and protein function."

In the Westenhoff group we strive to develop methods to analyse protein structure and mechanism. We also investigate early chemical reaction events.

We use cutting-edge technology, such as X-ray free-electron laser, synchrotron, or femtosecond infrared laser to develop our experiments, which can detect in real-time how chemical reactions proceed and how proteins carry out their functions.

Our advances rely on the dedication, creativity, brightness, and specialized skills of each group member. Through our project-based teams, we work together toward the development and enrichment of our expertise.

If you are dedicated and want to be part of our research team, we encourage you to contact us.
